Follow these steps to successfully apply for a new gas connection:
Step 1: Prepare Your Documents
Gather all required documents listed in Section 3. Ensure originals and photocopies are ready and properly attested.
Step 2: Visit the Gas Company Office
Locate your nearest SNGPL or SSGC customer service center or submit your application online through their official portal.
Step 3: Fill Application Form
Complete the gas connection application form with accurate information. The form is available online and at the office.
Step 4: Submit & Pay Application Fee
Submit the completed form with all documents and pay the application processing fee (Rs. 500 for residential).
Step 5: Site Survey
The gas company will conduct a survey of your property to assess feasibility, distance from gas network, and technical requirements.
Step 6: Approval & Payment
After approval, you’ll receive a letter with estimated connection charges. Pay the security deposit and connection charges.
Step 7: Meter Installation
The gas company will schedule meter installation at your property. A technician will install the meter and conduct safety tests.
Step 8: Connection Activation
After successful installation and inspection, your gas connection will be activated and you can start using gas.
